Founder of AVOW and brings over 20 years of professional experience in education as an educator, administrator, district leader, and leadership coach. Her passion for supporting women across all life stages led her to establish AVOW, an organization dedicated to empowering women from diverse backgrounds.

As a single mother, wife, and committed community advocate, Elisha has drawn on her extensive knowledge, resources, and deep sense of purpose to build a network of women since 2008. With the partnership of her mother, Rhonda, she has hosted impactful conferences, organized college tours for middle and high school students, contributed to community clean-up efforts, and much more.

Elisha’s vision for AVOW is to create a space where women find support in all areas of life—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually—empowering them to grow and thrive within a supportive community.

Lovingly known as “Mama Rhonda,” she is our remarkable matriarch with an extensive background spanning over 30 years in the legal field. Her professional journey reflects her dedication to justice and helping others navigate complex legal matters. Especially, women who are in need of resources and guidance along this topsy turvy journey called life.

Beyond the legal system. Rhonda is an advocate in both her personal and professional life. Her innate desire is to see all women flourish, to discover and embrace their best selves. She believes in holistic growth—nurturing the spirit, fostering emotional resilience, and achieving financial empowerment.

As a mentor and guide, Rhonda empowers women to embark on a journey of self-discovery, helping them grow spiritually, emotionally, and financially. Her wisdom and dedication to the well-being of others serve as a pure inspiration and genuine hope. She is the true example of a compassionate advocate, loving matriarch, and source of inspiration for all women who seek the spirit of a mother, sister, and friend.

Executive Dir. | Mikey Riley

Mikeshell, celebrated as “Mikey,” is a remarkable individual with an impressive academic background. She holds a Master’s degree from Webster University and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas – Pine Bluff.

But Mikey’s journey is about more than academic achievements. She’s a true trailblazer for women, unapologetically pushing forward and breaking barriers. Her life’s path has been shaped by a unique perspective as a single mother raising her son, all while successfully co-parenting—a testament to her strength and resilience.

Mikey is not just an Ambassador for Christ; she’s a beacon of faith within AVOW, A Village of Women. She takes the helm as the leader of the AVOW prayer line, where her words of wisdom and heartfelt prayers touch the lives of many. Her deepest desire is that everyone she encounters experiences true success and prosperity.

As a prayer warrior with a heart devoted to service and worship, Mikey’s passion knows no bounds. She serves as an inspiration to people from all walks of life, encouraging them to release the brakes on their ambitions and embrace a life of unwavering prayer and continuous self-development.

Outreach Liaison | Valencia Gibson

Valencia, affectionately known as “Coach V,” is a dedicated Community Outreach Specialist at AVOW, A Village of Women. Her heart beats to the rhythm of ministry, and her passion for educating others about the boundless love and provision of God are without reservation.

With an unwavering commitment to uplifting women of color nationwide, Coach V, alongside AVOW’s other dynamic team members, are on a mission. Together, they unite women from diverse backgrounds, forming a powerful network aimed at offering invaluable resources. Their collective goal? To empower and advance women in every facet of life – from their professions to parenting endeavors and educational pursuits.

Coach V’s enthusiasm is infectious, and her dedication to fostering a supportive community knows no bounds. She stands as a beacon of hope and encouragement, reminding women that together, they can overcome obstacles and reach new heights. Advisory Board | D’Chell Crayton

D’Chell Crayton, known in the Village as “Dee” is a devoted educator and communicator who serves with passion and purpose. With over 12 years of experience as a Special Education Educator, she’s committed to empowering students with diverse learning needs and creating inclusive learning environments.


A faithful member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas for the past decade, Dee serves in the Children’s Ministry and on the Women’s Conference Communications Committee, using her gift for communication to share messages of faith and unity.

Since joining the Village of Women in 2024, Dee serves on the Communications Outreach Committee and as a Spiritual Outreach Coordinator, helping connect and inspire women across the country as they grow together in God’s Word.

Advisory Board | Kristie Johnson

Kristie is the CEO of Sacred Stewardship Coaching, where she empowers individuals to confidently steward their resources by integrating biblical principles with practical tools. Her primary goal is to help others gain clarity and awareness that cultivate mindfulness that promote financial freedom, and guide clients toward a deeper understanding of their financial journeys.

Kristie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and is a certified financial coach with over a decade of experience in financial capability services. One of her most notable attributes is her exceptional ability to connect and build rapport with others, contributing to her high client satisfaction.

Kristie’s passion for coaching others on their financial journey is deeply rooted in her own personal financial struggles. These experiences sparked her desire to help others transform their mindset, behaviors, and habits, leading them to achieve lasting financial success.
